Operations Manager
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of a Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) within Maersk Offshore Wind (MOW).
In this critical operational role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for daily vessel operations, safety and compliance, financial performance, maintenance, and crew management. Working in close partnership with the Project Manager, Technical, Crewing, and HSEQ functions, you will ensure that vessel operations fully support offshore wind installation projects—delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This role is suited for an experienced offshore marine professional who combines strong operational knowledge with commercial judgment and a clear focus on safety and performance.

What You Will Be Doing
As Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV). This is a high‑impact role combining operational leadership and safety ownership.
You will be responsible for daily vessel operations, ensuring safe execution and on‑time delivery while holding clear P&L responsibility. You will manage vessel performance, costs and budgets.
Safety will be central to your role and you will drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, and lead risk assessments, incident follow‑up, drills, and audits in close collaboration with authorities and classification societies.
You will also play a key role in developing offshore teams—working closely with the Crew Manager, HR, and crewing partners to ensure competent, well‑supported crews. In parallel, you will ensure vessel technical readiness through close coordination with the technical team, OEMs, and contractors.
Who You Are
You are a structured, safety-driven offshore operations professional who combines strong operational knowledge with commercial awareness and execution discipline. You are comfortable working in complex project environments and across multiple interfaces.
Ideally, you can say yes to most of the following:
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Offshore Operations, or a related field
- Master Mariner (Unlimited) or Chief Engineer (Unlimited) certification preferred
- 7–10 years of experience in offshore vessel operations, including several years in a managerial role
- Experience with WTIV, offshore wind, or heavy-lift operations is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of offshore safety regulations and ISM-based management systems
- Proven experience with budgeting and P&L management
- Clear communicator with the ability to operate effectively across cultures
