What You Will Be Doing
As Procurement Manager in Maersk Offshore Wind, your responsibilities will include:
- Being part of building up our Procurement & Supply Chain function, including contracting approach and processes, as well as being a key part of developing our Procurement Plan
- Global ownership of equipment categories as well as services categories executing the required contract management responsibilities (KPIs definition, performance reviews, supplier relationship management, resolution of disputes and contractual deviations), as well as taking lead and ownership on commercial negotiations and tender process
- Manage complex procurement projects in collaboration with different functions on and offshore, and across different regions
- Developing and executing procurement/sourcing strategies to deliver the best value to the company
- Mapping, analysing and interpreting data on current spend patterns, identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces
- Identification and engagement with new suppliers
- Lead negotiations of ad hoc contracts
- Pro-actively get input from relevant stakeholders, as well as to develop solid collaboration for cross-functional execution (with particular engagement with Technical and Operations teams)
- Supporting Supply Chain with optimizing onshore inventory and review of current logistics patterns to develop potential new strategies
- Responsible for keeping our digital platforms updated in terms of rates, contracts, or other commercial terms within the categories of scope (through liaison with the supply chain and supplier data management team)
Who You Are
First and foremost, you are passionate about Procurement, and you recognize the key role that Procurement has for the success of an organization. In addition, we hope you can say yes to the following:
- You have a minimum of 5 years Procurement experience in offshore operations in either Renewables, Oil & Gas, or marine technical environment
- You have strong interpersonal skills, capable of developing and influencing internal and external relationships
- You have a natural drive and you can take ownership, work independently or as part of a team in a structured manner, and get concrete results
- You are comfortable in a fast paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage the workload to meet demanding business needs while keeping the overview
- You have a strong sense of urgency and drive to deliver quality in your work, and you are flexible in adapting when priorities change. You feel comfortable challenging the status quo and are motivated to drive improvements.
- You hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Procurement / Supply Chain), or equivalent
- You easily communicate with stakeholders on different levels
- You are fluent in written and spoken English.
Some travel activity from time to time is to be expected for this role.
