Tender Engineer

Copenhagen Maersk Offshore Wind Apply before: 2025-07-21

Are you an experienced Engineer looking to make a move into a Commercial role?

Do you want to join us bringing a new, innovative, and high-profile wind installation vessel to market, communicating daily about this advanced technology, and actively taking part in solving the energy challenges of tomorrow?

Then this might be your chance as we are looking for a new team member to join our team and be an integral part of ensuring that our first vessel will be installing many offshore windfarms starting in 2026. And we are planning to build more!

What We Offer
This is not just any job, it is an opportunity to be part of getting a first-of-its-kind wind installation vessel design into operation making the installation of bottom-fixed offshore wind turbines up to 30% faster than the conventional method. If this sounds intriguing, we encourage you to read more about the project here.

This is a truly exciting position where you will be given responsibility from the start. As Tender Engineer you will become part of the Commercial team and working closely together with other team members and stakeholders like the offshore wind developers, sub-contractors, engineering houses etc.

We work hard and we have fun doing so. Our work environment is informal, flexible, dynamic, and international. When joining this global team, you will work in a culturally diverse environment, where new ideas and different ways of doing things are welcome. We are proud of our diversity and see it as a genuine source of strength.

We are owned by A.P. Moller Holding, operating independently with the trust and empowerment to do what is right for us, while proudly bearing the Maersk name and values. With that said, we are also a “startup” with all the opportunities and challenges that brings.

When you work at our headquarters in Nordhavn, you will enjoy a range of benefits such as a great canteen and massages among other benefits. We offer flexible working hours, a good work-life balance, and freedom to plan your own work.

What You Will Be Doing
Our first-of-its-kind wind installation vessel needs project specific solution adaptions, which you will help developing.

Your main responsibility will be to prepare and assist with proposals for customers. This includes preparing preliminary method statements and installation schedules, load drawings, lifting plans as well as cost estimation. You will be coordinating closely with our in-house engineering team on technical solutions and layouts with high focus on safety, efficiency as well as low operating cost.

Who You Are
First and foremost, you are passionate about large scale construction projects in the maritime space, and you recognize the game-changing potential new innovations like our wind installation vessel have on driving the green energy transition. In addition, we hope you can say yes to the following:

  • You hold a diploma in naval architecture, a relevant engineering degree, or equivalent.
  • You have minimum three years of experience with large scale offshore constructions. Experience and insight in relevant aspects of offshore wind farm installation is preferable. You maybe come from a marine contractor, ship owner or similar.
  • You are familiar with WTG loadout and installation operations
  • You have awareness on commercial matters.
  • You easily communicate with stakeholders on different levels.
  • You have experience using AutoCAD and Shoreline or are willing to learn
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English.

Travel activity is to be expected for this role.
