Third Engineer

Maersk Offshore Wind is hiring Offshore crew for our Wind Turbine Installation Vessel currently under Construction at Seatrium Shipyard in Singapore. The new build is expected to be delivered in Q4 2025.
In this phase MOW is looking to recruit for various key positions to assist with New Build operational Familiarization and Commissioning of equipment and vessels systems.
The newbuilding crew team will also be tasked with development of operational procedures and manuals, task plans and risk assessments for the unit’s operational processes.
Along with the tasks at the building yard the crew team will be attending a range of courses relevant to the operation of the Wind Turbine Installation Vessel.
In the following crewing phases, more crew positions will follow, and we expect to have the full marine crew in the course of 2025.
Candidates with experience from Offshore Wind Turbine Installation projects, Construction vessels, new build commissioning, planned maintenance systems, spare parts and procedures will be preferred.

Key responsibilities
The function of the Third Engineer involves at all times safe, efficient and cost-effective operations, maintenance and repair of the vessel and technical installations, in accordance with the Chief Engineer’s and/or Second Engineer's instructions, relevant legislation, class requirements, and the Company's safety Management System. Understand the importance of briefing and debriefing to ensure efficient teamwork.
Supervision of ratings including:
- Orientation
- Health and safety.
- Environmental protection.
- Use of manuals and procedures.
- Daily working plans, associated with watch and work routines
To be considered for a position as Third Engineer in Maersk Offshore Wind, find below operational experience and certification expected/required.
You have experience as Third Engineer with functions such as
- Being an important part of the safety and environmental function.
- Efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with maintenance systems.
- Experience with Jacking systems.
- Knowledge of crane’s maintenance.
You have the below minimum requirements
- Certificate of Competence STCW A-III/2
- Dynamic Positioning - Maintenance (K-Pos/K-Master)
- Basic STCW Certificates
- Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW A-VI/6-1)
- Medical Certificate (STCW)
- Yellow Fever Vaccination
- Discharge Book

- HUET – OPITO Approved
- CA-EBS
- Medical First Aid (STCW A-VI/4-1)
- Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3)
- Designated Security Duties (STCW A-VI/6-2)
- Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than FRB
- Dynamic Positioning - Maintenance (MT - Bridgemate)
- Dynamic Positioning - Familiarisation
- Electro-Technical Officer CoC STCW A-III/6
- BFPA Hose Assembly Skills
